Koishikawa Korakuen

Enjoy cherry blossom viewing at Tokyo’s premier traditional Japanese garden

It was once built by the Mito Tokugawa family as a tourist-style mountain spring garden. It is a nationally designated special historical site and special place of scenic beauty in Japan. In addition to clever simulations of famous lakes, mountains, rivers, and pastoral landscapes from various places, Korakuen Garden also has landscapes named after famous Chinese places everywhere. The most famous one is the nearly century-old weeping cherry tree, which blooms with many Yoshino cherry blossoms around the large spring, which is breathtakingly beautiful.
