Mt. Tsurumi

Take the funicular to the top of the mountain and enjoy the stunning cherry blossom views along the way!

A total of 10 species and about 2,000 cherry blossom trees are planted in the Tsurumidake Mountain Foot Park area, making it a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Beppu. Take the ropeway to the top of the mountain, and you can clearly enjoy the stunning view of cherry blossoms from both the ropeway and the top of the mountain! From the top of the mountain, you can have a panoramic view of Beppu Bay/Beppu/Oita streets, as well as the Kuju Mountain/Shikoku area.
