Maizuru Park is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Fukuoka City. There are about 1,000 cherry blossom trees planted in the park, located inside the Fukuoka Castle ruins. In conjunction with the flowering season, the Fukuoka Castle Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year. During this period, the night cherry blossoms are specially illuminated and festival snack vendors set up shop, making it very lively. Night cherry blossom lighting time: 18:00～22:00.
