The Gion Shirakawa Night Cherry Blossom Lighting is a historic and popular cherry blossom viewing spot. Especially Shirakawa Nantong in Gion, the stone streets and the lattice window teahouses on the roadside are unique to Gion, Kyoto. During the cherry blossom season, the cherry blossom trees on both sides of the stone street will be in full bloom, and then merge into the figure of the maiko slowly walking towards the tea house, as if walking into a picture of Kyoto’s spring scenery.
