Tsuruga Castle

The blend of cherry blossoms and ancient city

Wakamatsu Castle, also known as Crane Castle, was listed as a “National Historic Site” in 1930. Every spring, the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms are the main attraction. About 1,000 cherry blossoms are dotted all over Tsuruno Castle, making Tsuruno Castle full of pink cherry blossoms.
