Shobara Ueno Park

Cherry blossoms surround Ueno Pond, a must-see spot for a flower-viewing picnic

Shobara City is located in the northeastern part of Hiroshima Prefecture. Ueno Park, famous for its cherry blossoms, is located in the city center. There are about 600 Somei Yoshino cherry trees planted about 2 kilometers around Ueno Pond, and the scenery is full of beautiful cherry blossoms. There is also the Cherry Blossom Festival every April, which is lit up at night, attracting many tourists.
