Southern Izu Island, the earliest cherry blossoms in Kanto

The most popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Shizuoka Prefecture. The cherry blossoms in Kawazu are a mixture of Kanhizakura and Oshimazakura, which bloom very early. From February 10th to March 10th every year, the famous Kawazu Sakura Festival is held here. There are about 8,000 cherry blossom trees near Kawazu, which look like auspicious clouds from a distance. There are also 3 hot spring foot baths on the river bank that tourists can use for free!
